Not really sure how this thing works at all but...

[A sigh and he pulls back slightly so he's in full view now, hesitance on his expression before it shifts to one more serious]

If anyone's even out there... I want to know what's going on. If it's someone's idea of a joke, it's not very funny..

[Pauses and he looks away from her]

What's happened to Elliot?

[Somehow hearing that reminds him of the time he'd first met Elliot and what he'd told him what he thought of him. It's enough that he shakes his head and even if it's not seen, his hands are clenched into fists]

[Of course it has to be like this. It was how they were raised - to always remember that hatred and let it flow towards the Vessalius household. The heir to that title (who shouldn't even be alive, mind) isn't going to be the one to convince her otherwise.

Though, she'll only address the last part of his comment, as this is the most important one. Elliot went to save Leo...was that before or after the--]

[He hesitates after hearing that question but eventually he does nod in affirmation] Yeah..

People had started dying and the house was on fire already... I... went to the basement to stop Isla Yura. He wanted to recreate the Tragedy of Sablier again... and he was going to sacrifice Alice and Leo to do it. Vincent, Echo and Elliot were with me and Gil left to go help Break.. I separated to go help Alice while Elliot went after Leo... but that was the last time I saw him.

[The last few moments before his arrival ran through his head after that made him shiver, leaving the events there for now. It's all pretty much simplified and from his point of view but it was the best he could give.]

[Despite her previous hubris, her face goes pale and her eyes go wide in fear. That was that snake's plan all along? To recreate that tragic even a second time? That was why he'd coiled himself around their mother and assisted in her madness? She feels her stomach lurch as she turns the Dreamberry screen away. She doesn't want him to see the pained expression on her face, nor does she want to see how calm he's able to be given the circumstances. So have a nice view of a wall, Oz.]

[It was slight but he had seen her expression for that brief moment before she'd turned the screen away and it was enough that he did feel a bit bad for saying all of that at once.

However he does pause at her words and sighs softly, closing his eyes shortly. He was calm about it because he'd already had time to mull over what Isla Yura had told him among other things]

What do you mean? There's nothing to worry about back home..

[A pause]

Isla Yura is dead...

[She laughs at that, low and sarcastic.]

And how many people had to die before he was finally killed? How can you say that there's nothing to worry about with that much blood spilled? Stupid, selfish child...

[Yeah he's being a little careless with his words at the moment, his calm, almost distant expression unchanging. Not aware of how this may affect her as he doesn't know what had happened to her back home]

[Saying that... he remembers the man's face before he... or rather Jack killed him and almost looks a bit sick before he shakes his head]

[She'll grab the Dreamberry at that and face it back towards her so that he can see the angry expression on her face as she speaks.]

Then you would willingly speak to someone that died because of you and your selfishness without a single feeling of remorse?! Then say it to me, because I was killed that day because of that man, and due to your ridiculous ceremony!

[That was something Oz hadn't prepared for at all. Noticeably his skin pales and his eyes widened upon hearing her words. Yes, by the time he'd gone after Isla Yura then... yes... so many people had died but he hadn't thought...

the sheer reality of it seems to hit him about now. The ceremony was supposed to have gone better and indeed people did die; this was no longer about Isla Yura as much as it was about the deaths he'd caused by holding the ceremony there. He finds he can't stare at the Dreamberry anymore and a conflicted, depressive look has finally crossed his features.]

...I... I didn't...

The... ceremony.. I... it wasn't supposed to turn out like that!!

...And yet, it did.

[She doesn't rub it in any further, despite the fact that she wants to. Instead she just picks up the Dreamberry and says:]

Enough of this. Elliot will get in touch with you soon, I'm sure. Speak to him and leave me out of it from now on.

[And with that, she turns it off.]
